Seasonal Menu at Yolk
We traveled to Manzanita for the day. This day trip was to be a reset and destress from the past few months of Go, Go, Go!!!
We decided to take a less taken road- and turned onto Oregon Route 53, also called Necanicum Hwy, from Hwy 26 on the way to the coast. It was beautiful, as the photo reveals, all of the trees were covered in moss in the middle of August and draping dramatically over the highway. The way was twisty and curvy, and very fun. I love curves, and so does my Mazda!
Our favorite restaurant in this town is YOLK. Visit their website here at www.eatmyolk.com
They almost always have a wait and it there are no reservations. Its the old school ~ put your name and number on the physical list. The food is homemade and delicious and not salty like a lot of breakfast food places. It's worth the wait!
Manzanita is special to us because we took Niki here years ago before she passed and she loved it. Its a slower-paced beach town and much quieter than most places.
We can't wait to go here again.
Beautiful trees (through my cracked windshield)
